Plans and subscriptions, chord playback and singing your songs into chords, a relationship map for characters, a Today widget, and one place to manage every reminder.
Added
- Plans & Subscriptions: Profile > Account > Manage Plan shows Free, Creative+, and Creative Pro with monthly or yearly pricing, the 7-day trial, and what each plan includes.
- Chord Timing & Bars: Give a lyrics block a length in bars, then drag each chord to the beat it starts on. Chords are spaced evenly by default.
- Chord Playback: Press Play in the tempo bar to hear your song’s chords on a piano after a one-bar count-in, with the sounding chord highlighted. Loop a single section to practice it.
- Sing Chords & Sing Lyrics: Sing or hum a section against the click and get suggested chords bar by bar. On a blank block, Sing Lyrics writes the words and the chords for you.
- Import Chord Charts from PDF: Preview the sections, chords, key, BPM, and capo found in a PDF before adding them as lyrics blocks.
- Goal Steps in the Editor: Tick, rename, remove, or add steps when you edit a steps goal.
- Relationship Map for Characters: Every line between characters now has a type (Family, Romance, Friend, Ally, Mentor, Rival, Enemy, or your own) with a color, a label, and a private note. Mac and iPad get a full workspace with an inspector; iPhone gets a simple map with a List switch.
- Today Widget: A new medium and large Home Screen widget shows your next event, next tasks, and goal progress together.
- Guest Availability: When you change the time of a Google event, see who’s busy and find the next time everyone is free.
- Calendar Follows Your Edits: The calendar moves to the new day or month as you adjust an event’s time.
- Locations for Reminders: Add a place to an Apple Reminder and it shows up in the Reminders app as an arrival alert.
- Search in Settings: Find any setting as you type, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with Settings results in the Mac sidebar search.
- Reminders from the New Event Editor: Switch between Event and Reminder when creating something new.
- Notifications Screen: One page to switch on or off event reminders, task reminders, a morning brief, habit reminders, lapsed-habit nudges, a weekly goal check-in, reflection reminders, creative nudges, and project comments.
- Calendar Event Reminders: Get notified at the start of an event or 5 to 60 minutes before it.
- Morning Brief: A daily summary of your events, due tasks, and habits to check in, at the time you choose.
- Lapsed-Habit Nudges & Weekly Goal Check-In: Get a gentle nudge when a habit slips, and a weekly reminder to look over your goals.
Improved
- Green by Default: The default accent color is now moss green, matching the website. Any accent you chose stays.
- Tighter Lyrics in Read Mode: Chords sit directly above the words they land on, with no blank line between, so chorded songs are about a third shorter.
- Confirm Before Updating Shared Events: Changing an event with guests asks first, and repeating events always ask whether a change applies to this event or all of them.
- Release Dates: Release dates are just a day unless you turn on Add Time.
- Today Page: Events that have already ended are hidden, and the page updates through the day.
- Mac Menu Bar: Tasks and habits show an empty circle to signal that choosing one checks it off.
- Steadier Metronome: The metronome runs on the same audio engine as chord playback and keeps its tempo from the first beat.
- Animated Onboarding: Icons spring in and play a small gesture as each screen appears.
- Clearer Permissions: Camera and photo library requests now say exactly what they’re for.
- Privacy Policy & Terms: Both now live on creativesgarden.app.
Fixed
- A “Couldn’t Save Change: cancelled” alert that could appear when the app opened.
- The onboarding “Built Specifically for You” screen sat off-center.
- Chord qualities like M7, min7, and △7 now resolve to the right notes, and lyrics blocks no longer run off the screen when a chord is followed by a long phrase.
- Blocks deleted from a shared project no longer come back when you reopen it, and blocks deleted by a collaborator now disappear on your device.
- A lyrics block’s section label no longer disappears in some imported projects.
- The Mac app can now use the microphone.
- Closed a gap that let a modified app set its own subscription plan. Plans are now only set by the server.
Removed
- The Donate row in the profile menu, since App Store rules don’t allow external tip payments.
- The Edit Links toggle on the character map. Connect characters directly, no mode needed.

A Today page that becomes the hub for Cultivate, a menu bar view on Mac, a much deeper Writing Insights dashboard for rhymes and rhythm, and a faster, steadier app.
Added
- Today Page: The new first tab in Cultivate shows your schedule, tasks and Reminders due today, habits to check in, and goals in progress in one scroll. Tasks, Calendar, Goals, and Habits sit under the date as cards.
- Mac Menu Bar: A garden icon in the menu bar shows what’s left today (schedule, tasks, and habits), lets you check things off, and offers New Idea, New Project, and Open Today. Turn it off in Settings.
- Writing Insights Dashboard: Cards for Rhythm, Rhyme, Sentence variety, Passive voice, Repetition, Readability, and Tone, plus a “Where to look” list that jumps to the spot in your text. Deep Review is available on devices with Apple Intelligence.
- Rhyme Strength Tiers: Rhymes are highlighted as perfect, slant, or near, using colorblind-safe colors. Eye rhymes are no longer highlighted.
- Rhyme Scheme Names & Stanza Totals: See schemes named in plain language (Couplets, Alternate rhyme, Ballad rhyme, and more) and a running syllable total after each stanza.
- Better Pronunciations: Names, slang, and made-up words now get a pronunciation guess, and contractions like “don’t” and “I’ll” are handled correctly.
- Rhyme Dictionary Search: Search by sound or spelling ending, and filter by syllable count.
- Custom Repeats: Build repeats beyond daily and weekly, such as several days each month or the first Monday.
- Natural-Language Search & Creation: Type what you want in the search bar and create it right there.
- Add Tiles: Kanban columns end with a + that adds a project in that status, and Ideas and Spaces get a dashed plus tile to start something new.
Improved
- Calendar Day View: Overlapping events now stack instead of squeezing into thin columns, and the Mac and iPad month view has a new look.
- Menus Anchor to the Plus Button: Add choices open right where you tapped.
- Faster Typing & Launch: Long documents no longer lag, word counts update live, and the app starts sooner.
- Smoother Scrolling: Lists load in batches, images are decoded at screen size, and audio blocks no longer stall scrolling.
- Fresher Widgets: Widgets update within seconds of a change instead of up to 30 minutes later.
- More Accurate Counts: Word, character, and syllable counts now include list, poetry, and code blocks.
Fixed
- Random “Couldn’t Save Change: cancelled” popups on the calendar.
- A crash in global search when it reached Tasks or Goals.
- Duplicate rows from iCloud could keep the older copy and lose newer content.
- Tapping a Writing Insights finding now scrolls to and highlights the spot.
- Syllable counts for contractions, and smart apostrophes splitting words.
- Apple’s Writing Tools are turned off in the editor so The Garden never writes or rewrites text for you.
Removed
- Highlighting of eye rhymes, which are spelling coincidences rather than sound.

A calendar for your whole day, connections to Apple and Google, folders for Ideas, and a softer dark mode.
Added
- Calendar Tab: A new Calendar view in Cultivate shows every habit and due-dated task at its time across the day, with timed items drawn as blocks sized by duration. Tap an empty slot to create something right there.
- Apple Reminders Sync: Turn on two-way sync and pick which Reminders lists show up in Tasks and on the Calendar.
- Apple Calendar & Google Calendar: Connect your calendars to see events alongside your tasks, then create, edit, move, and resize them without leaving the app — including time zones, repeats, guests, alerts, and Google Meet links.
- Google Tasks: Bring your Google Tasks lists in, and optionally send your Garden tasks out to a "Creative’s Garden" list in Google Tasks.
- Folders for Ideas: Group your quick notes into named folders that stack up as tiles.
- Share to Ideas: Send text or a web link straight into Ideas from the iOS share sheet in Safari, Notes, Messages, and more.
- Mac Mini Calendar: A compact month calendar now sits in the Mac sidebar, with a dot under any day that has something on it.
- Calendar Preferences: Choose which day your week starts on, shade the hours outside your workday, set a default calendar for new events, and hide declined invites.
Improved
- Softer Dark Mode: Dark mode now uses a dark gray instead of near-black.
- Kanban Covers: Kanban cards now show your project’s cover art as a blurred backdrop, like My Garden’s tile view.
- Smoother Cultivate Tabs: Switching between Tasks, Calendar, Goals, and Habits is faster and slides like pages.
- iPad & Mac Layout: Search lives in the top toolbar, the calendar adapts to your window size, and narrowing the window no longer strands you on the sidebar.
- Copy Page Contents: Copying a project page now keeps its formatting when pasted into Notes, Pages, or Markdown apps.
- Finished Events Fade: Calendar events that have already ended are dimmed.
Fixed
- Apple Calendar no longer shows nothing the first time you allow access, and saving or moving an event no longer deletes alerts you set in the Calendar app.
- A crash when connecting Apple Calendar with duplicate invites.
- Calendar scrolling lag and mislabeled weekday columns in regions that start the week on Monday.
- A heavy blur band that smeared across lists and Settings while scrolling on Mac.
- Checklist items in Ideas now look the same in the editor and in previews.
Removed
- Swipe-to-delete on project blocks, which was easy to trigger by accident. Blocks can still be deleted from the block menu or select mode.
- Per-category block restrictions: every block type is now available in every category.

Spaces for organizing collaborative work, a redesigned Profile and portfolio, Home Screen widgets, and a lot of editor polish.
Added
- Spaces: Group projects into personal or collaborative spaces with their own cover photo, quick notes, media, member management, public share links, and filters. You can archive, leave, or delete a space whenever you like.
- Home Screen Widgets: New Tasks and Goals widgets join Ideas on your Home Screen. Check off tasks right from the widget.
- Portfolio Upgrades: Showcase your publicly shared projects, pull work items straight from your library, and pick light or dark portfolio themes. Changes now save automatically.
- Portfolio View Analytics: See how many people viewed and clicked your public portfolio (Creative+).
- Notifications Inbox: Reminders for tasks, habits, and journaling are collected in an in-app inbox, and tapping one takes you to the right tab.
- Link Preview Cards: Pasted links can become rich preview cards, with a Turn Into option for existing links.
- Drag Photos Into Projects: Drop a photo into Compose to add it as a block, or onto the Info sidebar to set a cover.
- Lock Screen Controls: Play and pause audio from the Lock Screen banner, and tap it to jump back to the block that’s playing.
- iCloud Media Backups: Private space and project media is backed up to iCloud Drive with readable file names, with Show in Finder / Show in Files.
- Writing Insights: A new insights sheet, rhyme keyboard suggestions, rhyme and repetition highlighting, rhyme-scheme labels, and a Mac Analyzer tab.
- More Syncing for Collaborators: Story structure, goals, habits, tags, and release links now sync continuously between collaborators, with a conflict history in Settings.
- My Garden Tile View: View projects as cover-art tiles, with one picker for List, Tile, and Kanban.
- Project Menu: Duplicate Project, inline Stats, a Read Mode toggle, and poetry display options now live in the ••• menu.

- Profile Redesign: A cleaner Profile with Portfolio and Account sections and no more edit/save toggle.
- Read Mode: Redesigned as a proper document with title, byline, cover, and content.
- Mac & iPad Editing: A Notion-style selection toolbar, a floating formatting toolbar in the Idea editor, a smoother block drag handle, page-link chips that behave like pills, and cross-block text selection.
- Reminders: Journal reminders now vary day to day.
- PDF & HTML Sharing: Exports now match the look of the public web project page.

- Password-protected space and project links on the web now unlock correctly.
- Removing a shared space’s cover photo or unarchiving a space now works.
- Deleted Record blocks reappearing in collaborative projects.
- Repeating tasks showing twice on the same day, and widget text that was hard to read.

- Security: non-members can no longer write to a collaborative project.
